Research prototypes and product ideas
The project has developed the following software:
 | VISAM - VIrtuell Samlokalisering (Virtual Co-location). A research prototype tested internally in the project. This software integrated awareness information, establishment of desk-top conferences (MS Netmeeting), establishment of telephone conferences, mail and group task lists - all available through a web-client and implemented by third part telephony through a PC-based telephony server. The prototype is described in more detail in among other (Akselsen, et al. 1997; Akselsen, 1997; Strøm, 1997). The prototype was used internally in connection to investigations of visualization of results, activities, presence and availability - and externally in connection to a description of a product idea presented to Telenor Nextel. |
| HMS-Nett. An electronic arena based on Lotus Domino server for the Security, Health and Environment unit of Telenor in Northern Norway. Includes among other functionality for reporting and keeping track of the team-members whereabouts. This software was design as part of our studies of impacts of the visualization of work in distributed teams. The software has been in daily use by the group since mid 1997, and still is. The product idea has been presented to Telenor Nextel. The software is described in more detail in among other (Evjemo, et al. 1998). |

| Electronic arena for collaboration within the project. This arena is based on Lotus Domino server and has served as the project's main space for work (discussions and archival of documents) since spring 1996. The software is described in more detail in among other (Bergvik, 1998). |
